The protagonist of the story is a girl whose parents leave for Germany on her birthday to have their youngest child undergo a complicated operation. The mother promises her daughter to return after winter, with the onset of spring. But life takes a different turn: years pass and the parents stay abroad, leaving their daughter to her fate.
This series is based on real stories of immigrants living in Germany. In this picture, the director wanted to show why families break up, how hard it is to separate parents and a child, what difficulties children experience when left alone.
